Home Education Project & Lesson Plans

As you may know, I was a teacher for over ten years, before deciding to quit the profession for a more holistic life. I spent a year working as an Educational Content Creator for my local council, designing projects & lessons for young people who were learning from home during and post Covid.

Now that I am Electively Home Educating my own children, its clear that there is a gap in provision for the arts.  There are so many online resources for Maths, English, Science and even History, but finding support with the visual arts is difficult. If you just want craft activities there are plenty, but to learn fine art skills, history, vocabulary and ways to link this to applied uses and future jobs, young people need direction.

I am creating projects and plans for young people working at ages 5-9, 10-12 and 13-16.  These projects will explore both historical & contemporary art, textiles and photography. They are specifically written for EHE so are holistic & inspiring, with open ended tasks for personalised development.  Because I do this myself, I understand that we often have limited resources and budgets.  My projects are mindful of that and allow for multiple ways of achieving the same learning outcomes.
